Message from the chairman
Unusual period!
When the committee of the International Sillian Organization decided to continue the competition last June, we didn't know what to expect. The pandemic caught up with us when the jury was put together. The health measures taken by the governments of the countries from which the jurors came prevented our meeting.That is why we reluctantly decided to innovate judiciously and organize an online voting.We missed the socializing and personal exchanges, always very enriching during the review weekend. But these were largely replaced by very warm contacts with the judges who were seduced by this assessment method.
In the year 2020 the "International Sillian
Organization" is undoubtedly one of the most important competitions in the
world.
Despite these difficult times, 568 photographers from 65
countries payed us tribute and participated in ISO2020.
About 9,190 photos were presented to the expert eyes of the
judges.
I want to thank my entire team of volunteers for the vital work you have done. I would especially like to thank Christian Devers who, after ten years as chairman of the competition, remains the driving force.
This competition belongs to you, keep talking about it, share our link so that together we can ensure that the success of this international competition, which is so dear to me, and where all photographers can share their creations, will continue for many years to come. continue to last and grow.
